After two terms of theoretical and practical training in visual anthropology my fellow students of the Granada Centre for Visual Anthropology (The University of Manchester, UK) and I set off to conduct ethnographic fieldwork across the globe. Like many others, I went back to my home country. As I am interested in studies that contrast collective forms of self-representation with the individual"s perception, I decided to focus on female practitioners of Christian student societies in Austria. From February to August 2015 I followed several groups who are located in different cities and towns.
